WISH OPERA – 2011 Season Our current season features "Rose Marie" (April 15 & 16) and "Romeo & Juliette" (October 28 & 29), presented at the beautiful John Bassett Theatre in downtown Toronto. "Rose Marie" is the quintessential Canadian musical: a love story about a beautiful French-Canadian girl and an English-Canadian boy trying to make his fortune as a miner. The cast is rounded out with Mounties, showgirls and First Nations characters – The RCMP are enthusiastically backing this production, and will have officers in dress uniform present at the performances.
