    VP Operations, Orange Drop Program

    With over 25 years of retail merchandising and marketing experience, Tamara Burns brings her extensive knowledge of complex strategic planning, project and issues management to Stewardship Ontario's executive team.

    As the Vice President of Operations for the Orange Drop Program, Ms. Burns is responsible for managing the program's reverse supply chain, ensuring that all recovery targets set out in the Waste Diversion Act are met and increasing the program's visibility among Ontarians.

    Previously, Ms. Burns was the Divisional Vice President, Specialty Services, Leisure and Seasonal at Sears Canada and was Vice President, Merchandising at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). She began her career in fashion retail with Fairweather, Bliss and Club Monaco. In 2006, Ms. Burns was elected to Stewardship Ontario's Board of Directors where she served on the Audit Committee. She served a second term in 2009 and was on the Governance Committee. In 2010, Ms. Burns resigned from the Board to join Stewardship Ontario's management team.

    Ms. Burns holds a holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, as well as an Honours BA from the University of Toronto.
