The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has issued a Request for Views on the future directions it should pursue in developing its agenda for the coming years. It is seeking stakeholders' input on their priorities and needs. As recent adopters of IFRSs, Canadians' views on the IASB Agenda Consultation 2011 are critical in ensuring our country's financial reporting priorities and needs are heard.
This webinar will:
- summarize the IASB Agenda Consultation 2011, including the key features of the international financial reporting environment, the main drivers affecting the IASB's activities, constraining factors, and the list of possible projects;
- outline the Accounting Standards Board's (AcSB) preliminary thoughts on some of the issues important to Canadians; and
- solicit participants' input to develop the AcSB's response to the IASB.
