Recognizing the significant effort involved in adopting new accounting standards, IFRS 1 was developed to help first-time adopters with the transition to IFRSs.
This Webinar provides an overview of the current IFRS 1 standard. This includes the choices available, and what's required for first-time adopters, and will provide insight on the impact of accounting policy choices. Making the right decisions under IFRS 1, and communicating appropriately, are crucial for a smooth transition, so the session will also review relevant MD&A disclosure leading up to the changeover.
