Monster tooth is super underrated and can hold you over until you get a slug or some other healing. Some characters have a lot of trouble getting out of combat, and need healing on-hit (like plant). Leeching seed is good for early on for fast shooting survivors, and scythes with high crit are actually much better for these characters than slugs.
