Sophie Brochu has been active in the energy industry for more than 20 years.

She began her career in 1987 as a Financial Analyst with SOQUIP (Sociщtщ quщbщcoise d'initiatives pщtroliшres). In 1990 she was named Assistant to the President and then in 1992 was appointed Vice President, Business Development.

In 1997, she joined Gaz Mщtro, the principal natural gas distributor in Quщbec, as Vice President, Business Development.

In 2000, she was given the additional responsibility for gas supplies for the Company. She later took charge of the Company's sales, marketing and customer service activities.

In 2005, Ms. Brochu was appointed Executive Vice President, responsible for all natural gas distribution activities in Quebec.

Since February 2007, Sophie Brochu has held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Gaz Mщtro.
