Jeffrey D. Sherman, BComm, MBA, CA
Jeffrey D. Sherman has over 20 years experience as a chief financial officer and with a large chartered bank in various senior capacities. Mr. Sherman specializes in helping businesses deal with growth and change, and his interests include accounting and finance, corporate governance, risk management and internal control, restructuring and start-up enterprises. Mr. Sherman is a popular instructor and has lectured and conducted seminars for many organizations, and was an adjunct professor at York University for fifteen years. He created and presents several Executive Development programs for the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as numerous seminars for provincial CA institutes across Canada. He has written many magazine articles on business, finance and treasury, as well about twenty books including the two-volume Finance and Accounting PolicyPro (a guide to governance and internal control, updated six times a year), Information Technology PolicyPro, Not-for-Profit PolicyPro (all co-published by the CICA), the Controllership Guides (four volumes), Canadian Treasury Management (now in its third edition), Canadian Risk Management, and Financial Instruments: A Guide for Financial Managers, (all published by Thomson Carswell).
