Gordon Fowler, FCA, incoming Chair of the Accounting Standards Board
Mr. Fowler recently retired from KMPG LLP as the National Partner-in-Charge for Accounting Standards. He has worked in their New York, Calgary, Toronto and National Offices. Mr. Fowler has extensive experience in the areas of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) and was a past member of the KPMG International IFRS Panel. A member of the Accounting Standards Board for five years, Mr. Fowler has held the positions of Vice Chair of the AcSB, Chair of the AcSBs Foreign Currency Translation Task Force, Co-Chair of the Securities Regulations Advisory Group and was an Emerging Issues Committee member.

Brian Drayton, FCA, Partner, Meyers, Norris, Penny LLP
Brian is the leader of Meyers Norris Penny LLP audit practice in Regina. He has over 30 years of public practice experience and is a member of the Accounting Standards Board and was the Chair of the Private Enterprises Advisory Committee.

Tom Belyk, CA
Tom Belyk is a director in commercial banking and special projects at Scotiabank and is responsible for developing training for user interpretation of the new accounting standards for private enterprises and IFRSs. Tom has been with Scotiabank for over 13 years, focused primarily on credit adjudication across Canada. In the past, he worked with Ernst & Young and Deloitte Touche in the areas of audit and forensic investigation. Tom is a member of the Accounting Standards Boards Private Enterprise Advisory Committee.

Mel Leiderman is a managing partner of Lipton LLP Chartered Accountants. He has over 30 years of experience specializing in assurance and advisory services, financing, tax, estate and strategic planning for corporation and not-for-profit organizations. Mel is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Discipline Committee of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Corporate Directors and a member of the Accounting Standards Boards Private Enterprise Advisory Committee.
