Lyn McDonell, CAE C. Dir.
Lyn McDonell, CAE, C. Dir., is a governance, strategy and organizational effectiveness consultant. She is President of her company The Accountability Group, Inc. providing services in Canada and Asia. Lyn is a graduate of the Advanced Strategy Executive Program of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is trained in mapping strategy to create a Balanced Scorecard. Lyn has served as Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Operating Officer in two national organizations in Canada ― as CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and as COO of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA). Lyn is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has the Chartered Director professional designation in governance awarded through The Directors College, offered by McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business and The Conference Board of Canada. She serves on the Not-for-Profit Task Force of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).
 
  Gigi Dawe
Gigi Dawe is Principal, Risk Management and Governance at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. In that a capacity she has overseen the development of numerous projects on corporate governance for boards of directors and senior corporate leaders. Her background in organizational development has been instrumental in her role in developing materials on the dynamics of corporate governance. Gigi has had oversight responsibility for a series of publications for directors and senior leaders including a 20 Questions series for Directors of corporate and NPO organizations, a series for CFOs and a series on the control environment. As well as being a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Institute of Corporate Directors Gigi currently sits on the boards of Active Healthy Kids Canada, a not for profit company advocating physical activity participation amongst children and youth and the CIBC Centre for Corporate Governance and Risk Management at Simon Fraser University’s Faculty of Business Administration.
