Jean-Franчois Trщpanier, CA, CPA (Illinois)
Jean-Franчois Trщpanier is a member of the AASB Task Force on Audit Reporting Implications of the New Canadian Auditing Standards. He is also a member of the AASB Task Force on Reporting on Information Encountered During the Financial Statement Audit. He has ten years of experience in assurance with the professional standards group at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, a member firm of Grant Thornton International. In this capacity, he assists engagement teams in resolving complex assurance related issues. He also develops training material and drafts communications dealing with emergent assurance issues. Jean-Franчois Trщpanier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from HEC-Montrщal.

Bob Young is a partner In KPMG Canada's National Assurance and Professional Practice group, focusing on private business clients. Bob chaired the task force of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Bob was also a member of the advisory committee to the AcSB in developing Part II of the CICA Handbook-Accounting; he currently serves on the Private Enterprise Advisory Committee that continues to provide input to the AcSB on the maintenance and enhancement of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises.

He is an AAM Hall of Fame member, a founding AAM Board Member, a former partner in top 100 firm – Friedman, Eisenstein, Raemer & Schwartz – and a former executive with American Express Tax & Business Services, Inc. In addition August is the author of two books on CPA compensation systems: Compensation As a Strategic Asset published by the AICPA in 2007 and Performance is Everything: The Why What and How of Designing Compensation Plans also published by the AICPA in 2012. August has been a frequent speaker at SME conferences for several accounting professional bodies across the world.

Andrщe Lavigne, CA, is a senior principal with the Guidance and Support group of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the national practice area leader for small and medium size practices (SMPs) and small and medium size enterprises (SMEs). She leads the CICA’s efforts to identify the needs of SMPs and SMEs, and works collaboratively with external stakeholders, CICA and provincial institute staff, volunteers and subject matter experts to plan the programs and effectively execute the strategies to ensure that chartered accountants are well informed and appropriately supported to respond effectively to market demands and, more specifically, to apply the standards.

Dan fulfills a dual role at Hendry Warren LLP servicing the accounting needs of a large diverse client base and leading the income tax practice. Dan's practice focuses on owner-managed businesses which involves a unique blend of business, financial and tax issues at the corporate and personal levels. His areas of expertise include federal and provincial income taxation, personal financial planning, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), business succession planning and corporate restructuring. Always current with developments in the area of federal and provincial taxation, Dan is often consulted by fellow CAs, CMAs, and CGAs as well as lawyers to assist in their clients' tax matters. Dan is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He also is a past executive committee member of the Ottawa chapter of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is a regular lecturer and past tutor for the CICA Income Tax Practice Course, a past tutor for the CICA In Depth Tax Course and a frequent lecturer at the Annual Tax Planning Seminar for the Ottawa Chapter of the CMA Ontario.
