Karen Wensley
As Canada People Team Leader, Karen has overall responsibility for the HR functions of Ernst & Young in Canada. This includes recruiting and retaining the best people, helping our people build satisfying careers at Ernst & Young, executing our workplace inclusiveness strategies, and providing overall leadership for our people first philosophy.

Prior to taking on her current role in 2005, Karen was a tax partner who led Ernst & Young’s tax services to technology, communications and entertainment clients. She spent 20 years serving clients in a variety of high tech industries and also provided consulting services to the federal and provincial governments.

Before joining Ernst & Young, Karen taught at McMaster University, where she also obtained her MBA.

Karen has been a frequent speaker at various conferences on inclusiveness and other HR issues. She continues her technology industry connection as chair of the Tax and Finance Committee of the Information Technology Association of Canada.
