Irene Wiecek FCA Irene is involved in accounting and CA education at many levels from university, through the CA process to the post certification CA. She has championed IFRS education across North America and is currently working with the E&Y Academic Resource Centre in developing IFRS educational material for the Americas. In addition, she sits on the CICA Financial Reporting and Governance Working Group which currently has as one of its main focuses, IFRS education in Canada. Her interests lie in the area of international accounting and she has recently authored a book entitled The IFRS Primer International GAAP Basics (with Nickie Young). She is the Canadian co-author of the leading text Intermediate Accounting by Kieso et al and is currently working on the latest edition of this book which will be the first fully integrated IFRS intermediate accounting text in North America. Irene is a faculty member at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. |
