Claudiu Popa is an information risk professional, respected speaker, media resource and author of The Canadian Privacy and Data Security Toolkit for Small and Medium Enterprises. Claudiu builds security and privacy awareness by taking part in print, radio and television interviews, conference appearances and publishing research papers and newsletters. As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Project Management Professional and Certified Information Systems Auditor, Claudiu delivers real value to customers by integrating complex methodologies and internationally recognized standards, offering multidisciplinary capabilities and unlocking opportunities that span a vast array of business activities and disciplines. As president of Informatica Security, Claudiu oversees privacy assessments and security audits and provides consulting services to growing businesses and multinational organizations. Claudiu designs much of Informatica’s educational content including courses and workshops in information risk management, e-business security, data confidentiality and information privacy compliance for national and international firms. Through Informatica Research, he aims to expand security awareness and understanding, improve industry practices and help build better models for business security management. Claudiu continues to produce original and effective strategies for risk and knowledge management, data classification and corporate security.

John Jager, CIPP/C, is an accredited and experienced privacy professional who has been Nymity’s Vice President of Research Programs for 3 years. His experience in privacy includes 2 years as the Chief Privacy Officer at Sears Canada Inc. John is the chair of the Canadian Marketing Association’s Privacy and Ethics Committee. John delivers Nymity’s Breach Response Training Workshops and has created Nymity’s Breach Response Centre, a component of PrivaWorks.
