Nigel M. Lee With over 20 years experience in the banking industry Nigel is recognized as a true hybrid. In the early 1990s he gained a strong reputation for creating optimal synergies between the business of banking and IT. Having served his ‘banking apprenticeship’ at the now Halifax Bank of Scotland he left them in 1995 as Strategy and Systems Architecture Manager to enter the realm of Banking Technology. Occupying executive positions in a number of leading European solutions providers he spent the next 10 years working with over 200 financial institutions in more than 20 countries in defining and delivering strategic back-office transformation programmes. At heart Nigel has a simple mission; to maximize the value of IT to the business of banking. Nigel has enforced strict value adding principles to the provision and implementation of technology. He is a pragmatist and his approach has enabled banks to understand and leverage technology whether IT literate or not. He is a banker to the technology community and a technologist to the banking community. In 2005 Nigel joined the executive management team at Financial Architects with a mission to introduce and disseminate a new paradigm in the management of financial institutions, the integration of risk and finance. With technology as an enabler, Nigel works closely with FinArch’s 150 or so customers to provide them with the understanding and the tools to leverage initiatives over which they have no choice… regulation. He uses his experience in accounting, risk management, regulatory governance and technology to create easily understood roadmaps from which banks can begin to maximize their return on investment in IT while simultaneously developing competitive advantage from a distinctly improved understanding of their business. From a notable education in Business Systems and Management to 20 years of partnering with 350+ institutions in over 35 countries, Nigel brings a truly global perspective to the advancement of the banking industry. |
