Eric Turner, CA - Principal, Auditing and Assurance Standards, CICA
Eric Turner has served as a principal in the Auditing and Assurance Standards department at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants for 15 years. He provides staff support to the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and is responsible for a number of standards projects including those dealing with audit reports under the new Canadian Auditing Standards. Eric recently participated in International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board projects dealing with external confirmations. As a member of the CICA’s Canadian Auditing Standards transition team, Eric assists in the development of information and learning resources on the transition to the new international auditing standards.
 
  Susan McIsaac, FCA
Mrs. McIsaac FCA, is the founding partner of McIsaac Darragh Chartered Accountants, a two-partner firm in Amherst, NS. Prior to this, Mrs. McIsaac qualified with Doane Raymond (currently Grant Thornton), purchasing their Amherst practice in 1999. McIsaac Darragh serves a wide range of clients including private enterprises and individuals in many industries as well as non-profit organizations. Mrs. McIsaac has 20 years experience in providing practical advisory, accounting and tax advice to a broad cross-section of small and medium entities. Mrs. McIsaac has been active with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia for a number of years and is currently serving as president of its Council. She has presented professional development courses for CAs in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland Labrador focusing on accounting and auditing issues facing practitioners of small and medium firms. She has presented nationally on the Quality Assurance Manual at a CICA-sponsored SME conference. Mrs. McIsaac is a member of the Professional Engagement Manual Advisory Group; a member of the Standards Committee of the AC Group of Independent Accounting Firms and serves as a Board member and audit committee chair for a provincial Crown Corporation and the provincial division of a national registered charity.
 
  Cindy, Kottoor, CA, Neverest Inc, moderator
Cindy Kottoor is the President and Founder of Neverest Inc., a company specializing in training, consulting and quality assurance services in the areas of audit, accounting, and risk management. Working with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (ICAO), she designs and delivers professional development courses for members in Ontario, provides staff training to recent graduates, and is an instructor at the ICAO's School of Accountancy. Cindy was previously an Audit & Assurance Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP. She also designed and instructed industry audit training courses for Deloitte & Touche auditors. Most recently, Cindy was an Associate Director at Protiviti, where she specialized in risk management and corporate governance, by providing internal audit and business risk consulting services to her clients. Cindy earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours - Accounting) from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
