As national leader of Gowlings’ Manufacturing and Industry Group, Gary Graham is a business law lawyer with business management experience. He has been actively involved advising clients in the manufacturing, energy and broader public sectors for over 25 years. Gary has considerable experience in the resolution of commercial disputes. He has been involved in takeover bids, lock-up agreements, major international share and asset transfers and a broad range of customer, supplier, employee, inventor and other contracts over a wide variety of businesses, including the defence, energy and broader public sectors of the economy.

Joel Taller practising primarily in the area of product regulation. He advises a variety of clients around the world on regulatory matters ranging from labelling issues to recalls concerning food (including herbs), nutritional supplements, drugs, traditional herbal medicines, Natural Health Products, cosmetics, and medical devices.

Alan West practises primarily in areas of law related to pharmaceuticals and health care. His practice focuses on the regulation and pricing of drugs, biologicals and radiopharmaceuticals, and medical devices, cosmetics, food and beverages (registration, licensing, compliance, recalls, etc.).

Guy Poitras practises in commercial and civil litigation with particular emphasis on complex product and professional liability claims. He has extensive experience as a litigator and has acted for various manufacturers with respect to actions for damages pertaining to defective products, namely motor vehicles, pharmaceutical products, as well as electrical appliances and components.

Wendy Wagner is a partner in Gowlings' Ottawa office and leader of the Firm's Transportation and Logistics National Practice Group. Her practice focuses on international trade law and media law. Wendy represents the firms’ clients in matters involving NAFTA, WTO, anti-dumping and countervail, export & import controls and all aspects of customs (tariff classification, valuation, AMPS penalties). In her media and defamation practice, Wendy defends clients against defamation law suits, acts as counsel for the media in Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms cases involving freedom of the press, and represents the media to oppose publication bans and other restraints on publication. Wendy also advises clients on matters pertaining to Access to Information legislation.

Nicholas Kluge is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising in the area of advocacy. His practice includes a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, with particular specialty in class action and product liability defence. Nicholas has significant class action defence experience and has worked for class action defendants from varied industries, including the pharmaceutical, mining, and financial services sectors. He represents manufacturers and distributors of products in various industries including consumer goods, construction, electronics, and transportation. Nicholas also carries on a general commercial litigation practice - he has been and continues to represent plaintiffs and defendants in contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, real property matters, and professional negligence.

Steve is a partner in the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group with over 15 years experience counseling domestic and international clients on matters before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission including product defect reporting, jurisdictional issues, administrative investigations and recalls. He has also counseled corporate management on litigation strategies and preparedness. Steve has represented clients before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission with significant involvement in many of the issues arising under the recently enacted Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 ("CPSIA"). He has represented manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers, as well as consortia of manufacturers on industry wide issues.
