Event Details: On December 7, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama announced the implementation of two action plans in furtherance of the Beyond the Border Agreement, a perimeter approach aimed at enhancing security while accelerating legitimate trade and travel. The Action Plan on Perimeter Security and Economic Competitiveness and The Action Plan on Regularly Cooperation are designed to facilitate trade, improve infrastructure, reduce non-tariff barriers and create economic opportunities for North American business.
