Ian Telfer was appointed Chairman of Goldcorp in 2006 and has been President and CEO of the company and its predecessor since 2001. He also serves Chairman of the World Gold Council. Mr. Telfer has over 30 years of experience as an officer and director of mining companies in Canada and abroad. Mr. Telfer is member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and he holds a BA from the University of Toronto as well as an MBA from the University of Ottawa. In 2007, he was selected as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
