Cost Recovery Focus Group
Welcome to the OES Cost Recovery Focus Group
webcast. The Tuesday, October 16th webcast begins at 1:30 p.m. ET. The webcast slides go live 15 minutes before the presentation begins.
In its live webcast held on Tuesday, October 16th, 2012, Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) communicated the proposed revised steward fees effective January 1, 2013.
We also communicated the need for a steward/remitter focus group to seek input on cost recovery methodologies that further the direction of the Ministry of Environment, as announced on February 9, 2012. This input will be used as the basis for a cost recovery report that OES is expected to deliver to Waste Diversion Ontario for its upcoming Board meeting on November 7, 2012. As you are the stewards we support and service, OES recognizes we cannot form the baseline without your valuable insights.
The purpose of the focus group is to help you understand the cost recovery model, some initial approaches and strategies, what changes/what doesn’t, and what those impacts mean to you. A backgrounder will be provided in advance of the meeting as pre-reading to a robust discussion.
Before the Presentation
Please take time to make sure that your computer/IT system is compatible with the webcast system. Click on "System Check" at top right of the screen as soon as possible.
Please be sure to turn on your computer speakers.
If you are working on a laptop, external speakers or headphones will enhance the sound quality. You can turn up the sound of the presentation by clicking on the sound "slider" at the bottom right of the console. You will not be able to advance the slides during the presentation or before. The speaker will move the slides as the presentation progresses.
