On October 25, 2010 the Minister of the Environment directed Stewardship Ontario to submit a revised Phase 1 MHSW Program Plan that expanded the scope of the program to all IC&I generators for some materials (batteries, antifreeze its containers).
In February/March 2011 Stewardship Ontario met with MHSW stewards to develop revised Phase 1 definitions which incorporated the Minister's scope changes and addressed stewards' issues. Those revised definitions were then submitted to the Minister of Environment for approval.
We are pleased to announce that the Minister has now approved the revised MHSW definitions and has requested that they be adopted by October 1, 2012.
Given that over a year has passed since we last discussed the definitions, Stewardship Ontario would like to host a webinar for MHSW stewards to review the approved definitions by material, answer your questions and ensure you have clarity on how their adoption will affect your current data gathering and reporting processes.
You will need a computer with sound capabilities and a link to the internet. If you work off a laptop, external speakers or headphones will enhance your ability to hear the presentation.
