Executive Vice President, Stewardship Ontario

As Executive Vice President of Innovation and Blue Box, Lyle is determined to secure Ontario's place a world leader in curbside recycling. Working with Ontario municipalities and leaders in the recycling industry, Lyle is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to streamline the recycling supply chain, extract more value from recyclable material and improve program efficiency.

Before joining Stewardship Ontario's staff in 2009, Lyle already had a well-developed understanding of the province's waste reduction and diversion strategy and challenges. As a founding member of Stewardship Ontario's Board of Directors from 2002 until 2009, Lyle helped launch both the Blue Box and Orange Drop recycling programs.

Prior to his appointment at Stewardship Ontario, Lyle led the corporate policy team at the LCBO, one of the largest retailers of wine, spirits and beer in the world. Among his many other responsibilities, Lyle spearheaded the retailer's environmental strategy. Lyle also served as a director of Waste Diversion Ontario, the agency responsible for developing, monitoring and implementing Ontario's waste diversion programs..
